Seb Bishop

Seb Bishop is the CEO of GOOP, Gwyneth Paltrow's lifestyle company. Prior to joining GOOP, Bishop was the International CEO of (RED), the organisation created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise money for The Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS in Sub Saharan Africa
Bishop is one of Britain's leading young entrepreneurs. He first made his mark at the age of 26 when he founded Espotting – the company that brought search marketing and the successful paid search (also known as pay-per-click) online advertising model to Europe. Seb began Espotting with his school-friend Daniel Ishag in a basement flat in 2000. He expanded the business across Europe before merging with US based FindWhat.com in June 2004 in a deal which valued the company at $186m. Seb is also the Chairman of Steak, the search-inspired communications agency. Steak were named Media Agency of the Year in 2007. Their clients include John Lewis, Virgin Holidays and British Gas. Seb also sits on the boards of Future Publishing, the special-interest media group and AdJug, an online ad exchange.
In 2007 Seb was one of 8 British entrepreneurs featured in the Channel 4 documentary 'Millionaires' Mission.' He spent 3 weeks in a remote region of Uganda, using Western entrepreneurial skills to try and bring sustainable relief from poverty to affected communities.
==Bishop and (RED)==
He joined (RED) as their International CEO in September 2008.
(RED) was created in 2006 to get money from business to The Global Fund to invest in AIDS programs in Africa. It began as an idea with Bono and Bobby Shriver. They persuaded American Express, Gap, Converse, Emporio Armani to join and they launched in 2006. The idea of (RED) was that the companies could make products using the (RED) logo in exchange for donating up to half their profits from those products directly to the Global Fund for AIDS programs in Africa. The Global Fund charges no overhead on the money so every cent makes its way to Africa. (PRODUCT)RED branded products contribute up to 50% of the profits to the Global Fund. The consumer does not pay extra for (RED) products. And (RED) never handles this money – it is sent directly to the Global Fund.
Since launch (RED) has grown to 9 partners (and growing): American Express (UK only), Converse, Gap, Emporio Armani, Dell, Windows, Apple, Hallmark and Starbucks. On 1 December 2008 (World AIDS Day), (RED)wire was launched – (RED)'s music subscription service that features exclusive tracks from artists such as Coldplay, Sheryl Crow, John Legend, The Killers and U2.
(RED) partners and events have generated over $120 million to help eliminate AIDS in Africa through The Global Fund (January 2009).
(RED)'s high profile supporters include Penelope Cruz, Christy Turlington, Elle McPherson and Scarlett Johansson.
